Ian is a Kwini man from Kalumburu community in the far North-East corner of the Kimberley. He come from a big family of four sisters and two brothers. They are all artists like Ian’s father and mother. His mother teaches language to the school kids. Ian is very proud of his culture and he believes bringing his knowledge and scientific ways together will answer some of the questions about the rock art. It’s like seeing it both ways: scientific way and aboriginal way. He enjoys his involvement in the research projects, working together and being part of the team.
